Attorney Tony Kalka graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in both business and marketing from Clemson University in 1999. That same year he went on to Mercer University – Walter F. George School of Law, where he later graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2002.
In order to gain necessary experience in his field, he went on to work for a large insurance defense firm as their defense lawyer. While working there, he prepared solid case defenses for business tort and injury claims that were filed against auto defendants, insurance companies, trucking businesses, and retail stores. This practice granted him with immense insight into the world of insurance law and what it looks like from the other side of personal injury claims.
Focusing all of his efforts on defending victims of negligent actions, Attorney Kalka has a passion for helping those that have been catastrophically injured due to car accidents, truck accidents, defective products and other incidents resulting in serious injury. Additionally he pursues bad faith litigation against insurance providers that attempt to deny or delay proper personal injury claims.
Pursuing justice and fair compensation has allowed him membership into the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the Southern Trial Lawyers. As a Co-Chair on the Georgia Trial Lawyer Annual Convention board, he contributes his time as a frequent lecturer speaking on various aspects of trial advocacy and the necessary skills that are need in trial cases.

Attorney Kalka has represented numerous individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents along the GA 400, the highway running along the northern part of Georgia. He has accomplished GA 400 case results, obtaining high settlements for his clients, allowing them to recover with the financial compensation needed.
In a recent case, a George County client of Kalka & Baer, LLC was killed on the I-95 due to a truck driver's negligence. Attorney Kalka worked relentlessly and efficiently over the following 12 days to investigate the scene of the accident. Procuring every possible witness, he discovered that the truck driver had in fact been violating the Federal Motor Carrier hours of service limitations. In addition, the trucks R2 brake was out of commission. Attorney Tony Kalka also proved punitive damages against that of the trucking company. He was able to retain the highest settlement award in the entire county, totaling $1,875,000.
