Erika S. Julien practices in the areas of criminal defense and general civil litigation. She is the sole shareholder of Julien Law PLLC located near historic Depot Town in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Attorney Julien has been dedicated to the defense of the accused in Michigan's criminal justice system and general civil litigants since 2001. She passionately believes that every case deserves fair treatment in the courts and zealous representation in the law.
In service to the State Bar of Michigan, Ms. Julien has served terms as member of the SBM Standing Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence and Practice; and an elected member of the SBM Criminal Law Section Council. She has also served as president of Criminal Defense Lawyers of Washtenaw County and as founding president of the Washtenaw County/EMU Legal Resource Center.
Ms. Julien also served extensive terms on the Washtenaw County Bar Association board of directors and was honored to receive the association's first-ever Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, which is now given to one lawyer every year who demonstrates a strong leadership and dedication to the community. In 2005, she was the recipient of the State Bar of Michigan's Regeana Myrick Outstanding Young Lawyer Award and was named a "Lawyer of the Year" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. In 2011 and 2014, she was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star as nominated by her peers.
