This includes putting together wills, trusts, powers of attorney and any other necessary documents to ensure that if the unexpected happens each family will be have the necessary tools and the financial means to carry on with their lives. Ms. Blacha also counsels elder clients and their families about important major decisions as they plan for and enter retirement including estate planning, retirement benefits, financial assistance, planning for and filing for guardianship as well as nursing home litigation. She also represents clients in probate as well as will contests to ensure that each client's estate plans are carried out and administered efficiently and in line with their predetermined wishes. Ms. Blacha also represents clients during the complex and trying times of divorce and custody litigation. She is a certified divorce mediator and uses her mediation as well as her many years of litigation skills to effectively manage her client's divorce and custody matters so that each family can resolve their disputes and go on with their lives.
Finally, Ms. Blacha helps her clients navigate the choppy waters of any criminal charges they may face, whether it be a DUI, domestic battery charge or something else. She puts them in the best possible position legally, just as she does when assisting clients with family law issues. In some cases, she can even help individuals remove criminal convictions completely through expungement, allowing them to move forward with no blot on their record.
